The Anslow Partnership were appointed to design and develop a full Cat B office installation for ITV across two buildings at Waterhouse Square. The project included the complete fit-out of the third, fourth and fifth floors at 2 Waterhouse Square and the first floor at 1 Waterhouse Square.
The space accommodates the various ITV departments including media production teams with the emphasis on creating a vibrant working environment comprising a mixture of open plan office space, cellular meeting rooms, informal collaboration spaces, staff breakout areas , café and event space
The existing mechanical and electrical systems were extensively remodelled to suit client aspirations.
Innovative Design Approach
The entire space required cohesive and seamless connectivity between the different themed spaces; selecting attractive fixtures that would echo the dynamics and the feel of an ITV Studio were therefore a driver in the early conceptual sketches. The break out areas and the open plan restaurant servery was deftly illuminated by a similar LED lighting array, cloaked behind suspended expanded metal raft panels, power coated in ITV brand colours, thus providing functional, diffused illumination. Lighting to the restaurant servery area was supplemented by track-mounted spotlights to high-light the brasserie-style fayre.
